ConceptDraw PROJECT para Mac

As for me there is nothing better than ConceptDraw PROJECT v8 due to its variety of reports available. Since those guys launched a cloud storage tool ConceptDraw PLAN letting share your projects with your team my life has become even easier. It is not free of charge though either....

I would give 5 stars if only there was a spanish version. Other than that, tool is good enough for planning and tracking, and in bundle with a drawing program it gives you possibilities to do eye-catchy dashboard presentations. Whizzy app!

I'm sorry to write this, but this app doesn't work. I downloaded the trial version, and was for half an hour creating a basic home-refurbishing project. The dependencies just didn't work well. Then it switched off and deleted 15 min. work, when creating the resources. These are very basic. Besides I honestly don't understand why you have to purchase another module just for the PERT chart, which is a PM tool, not simply another diagram. I was using GANTTPROJECT, which looks much too simple, but it's more or less the same, and for free, so I stay with my GANTTPROJECT till MS Project is available to my pocket and my mac.

Do not buy ConceptDraw PROJECT. I'd warn people off using ConceptDraw PROJECT as an alternative to MSProject. The software was terrible at profiling activities by linking though dependencies. After linking separate tasks using the predecessor and successor columns, the tasks would either refuse to move at all or, when they did move, the dates on the parent tasks would remain unchanged, which was a real issue when I wanted to print off a copy of my programme to review start and end dates. When I contacted their customer services they were not helpful at all. I raised the ticket over 5 weeks ago and I've had nothing of worth back. I've given up and requested a refund.

I'm a professional Project Manager and have been using the ConceptDraw Suite for a couple of years. I really like the integration with Project and the Mindmapping as well as drawing tools that are part of the ConceptDraw Suite. For simple projects, ConcetpDraw Project works OK. However, the reporting tools within Project is unacceptable as your schedule becomes a bit more complex. Several of the reports have over-striking issues or don't report what they should. One of my biggest issues is a lack of a task ID that would directly map between the actual schedule and the line items printed on the reports. This lack of a task ID makes it very difficult to map a line# printed on the reports to the actual schedule,... I have reported dozens of issues to the technical support department over the last two years, some of the elements were resolved although most of the Project reporting tools bugs/deficiencies have yet to be addressed. Although the technical support department in North America acknowledges my requests and confirms the deficiencies or bugs, the developers in Europe are not addressing the issues. I'm not talking about 'nice-to-haves' here, I'm talking about flaws in the reporting that makes it very difficult to manage projects. I'm at a stage now where I'm looking for alternatives for Project that runs well on a Mac and that would integrate with a Mindmapping tool. As soon as I find something good, I'll drop ConceptDraw altogether. it's too bad though since the drawing tool and mind-mapping are awesome.
